Primers for Carbon degrading enzymes in soils

Primers for Carbon degrading enzymes in soils

Hey everybody, I'm new here, but thought it might be a good venue to find out information on how to obtain a primer set for carbon degrading enzymes in soils. Specifically, I'm looking for a suite of enzymes that can be used to compare the degradation of herbaceous plant litter to woody plant litter. I'm thinking of enzymes that can degrade such things as celluloses, hemicelluloses, rhamnoses, pectins, arabinosides, xylans, and lignins. I'm still very new at getting to know these enzymes, so please forgive me if something doesn't quite make sense. I would appreciate any insight or feedback on how to best accomplish this. Thanks in advance for your time!

Mike
